The Catholic Parish Priest of St Mary in Yambio calls for the release of at least 35 youths abducted on June 25 by SPLA forces from Maridi County of Western Equatoria State.
Reverend Fr Peter Moudie pleads to the national government to give clear explanation about the arrest and detention of the young men to their families in Maridi County, Radio Anisa reported.
He says God created governments to serve people not to kill them and that the SPLA must value human lives.
Fr Moudie prays for change in the government system and repentance during the fourth independence anniversary.
The clergy urges South Sudanese to be flexible to change because God will punish people who sin against His kingdom like David’s story in the Holy Scripture.
