Western Bahr El Ghazal State’s Gete Bridge check point in Jur River County about 45 kilometres along Wau- Aweil road has re-opened in an effort to trap night robbers terrorizing Wau town.
Gete Bridge checkpoint was closed three months ago to eliminate illegal taxation points, but authorities now say time has come for police to occupy the check point to crack down night robbers believed to be coming from neighboring states, Voice of Hope reported.
Jur River County Commissioner Simon Atwai says the check point is critical for security purpose.
