Sudan People’s Liberation Army or SPLA says it is ready to protect children in the conflict ravaged country.

Speaking at Nyökurön Cultural Centre on Friday SPLA Spokesperson Colonel Philip Aguer Panyang says the army will not leave South Sudan to fragment, Radio Bakhita reported.

He vows that they will recapture Malakal in less than a week to make it peaceful for organizations to carry out operations.

Deputy Chief of General Staff for Inspection Lieutenant General Angar Buog denies the accusation that SPLA is recruiting Red Army to fight SPLM/A in Opposition.

He says there is need for peace to prevail in South Sudan for children to have good security.
