National High Education Advisor has asked the United States or US Government to help build a laboratory for the University of Juba in South Sudan to improve skills of science students in technology.
Vienna Kakuli Aggrey praises the US Agency for International Development or USAID for funding South Sudan Higher Education Initiative for Equity and Leadership Development project that has yielded 14 female South Sudanese graduates in secondary education, Radio Bakhita reported.
The Higher Education Advisor urges USAID to continue improving education status of the country.
USAID Mission Director Teresa McGhie says the goal of South Sudan Higher Education Initiative for Equity and Leadership Development project is to build an ethnically diverse group of faculty and female leaders to assist universities and the education system in promoting social cohesion, peace building and conflict mitigation.
The Director adds that it is crucial for South Sudan to enroll more women in higher education.
