Centre for Democracy and Development a local organization is conducting three-day training for about 40 community women leaders in Yei River County.
Centre for Democracy and Development Executive Director Eric J. Moses says the training empowers women to be represented at South Sudan peace talks in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Radio Easter reported.
The Director adds that women are mostly affected by the ongoing conflict and that if they are involved in talks, they could contribute to sustainable peace in South Sudan.
Assistant Commissioner for Gender, Child & Social Development Victoria Nasera Augustine urges women to speak out their rights to peace and equal participation.
