All Saints Parish Rejaf has been raided by unidentified burglars who took uncounted amount of money from church cupboards.
Assistant Parish Priest Fr Peter Nafouni says the incident happened on Monday midnight and the looted money was two months’ offertory collections meant for general renovation of priests’ house, Radio Bakhita reported.
He says priests were miserable that the burglars removed the door of the tabernacle where the Blessed Sacrament is placed.
Fr Nafouni says police in Gumbo area is still investigating the incident.
It is now the fourth time the Catholic Church in Juba Archdiocese have fallen victim of burglary.
In June 18th this year Sudan Catholic of Bishops’ Conference or SCBC General Secretariat was raided, leaving thousands of losses.
