Pontifical Foundation to rescue South Sudanese refugees, IDPs with education

A Germany Organization representing Pontifical Foundation has earmarked rescue service to South Sudanese refugees and Internally Displaced Persons or IDPs through provision of spiritual and scholarly education for better future in South Sudan.
 
Church in Need Organization Directress Christina Kudure tells Radio Bakhita in an interview that they are willing to answer expectations of South Sudanese clergy and masses through spiritual service by catechists and establishment of schools for children in refuge or IDPs’ camps to brighten their future.
 
Sudan Catholic Bishops’ conference or SCBC Secretary-General Fr Jacob Odwa says many South Sudanese refugees in Khartoum, Sudan seeking refuge from South Sudan ongoing conflict are in dire need of education service since there is congestion in existing schools there.
 
He adds that Church in Need Organization is crucial in assisting the church in pastoral needs.
 
The Pontifical Foundation representatives concluded two-week visit to five Catholic Church dioceses in South Sudan to help them develop.
