A Primary one seven-year old child described as first class girl has been beaten to medical level.
Female Ward in-Charge Nurse Kukani Ibrahim says they saw scars and wounds on Rebecca John’s body after medical check up, Voice of Peace reported.
He describes the punishment for the young girl as an assault and child abuse, demanding police to arrest the father.
The brother of the girl is under police protection after being chased away from home by the father at Sarbule Village of the Nuba Mountains.
The nurse says child protection is a collective responsibility of parents, chiefs, doctors, NGOs or everybody.
The nurse advises parents, teachers and guardians to guide children in a good manner rather than beating them up to medical level.
