Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO expects SPLM reinstatement of Pagan Amum Okiech as Secretary-General to change government’s position to accept public release of the African Union or AU Commission of Inquiry report on South Sudan conflict to step up further peace efforts.

CEPO Executive Director Edmund Yakani tells CRN that SPLM should apologize to South Sudanese by accepting grave mistakes or abuses made.

He observes that even before mid December 2013 violence eruption the government failed to fight against corruption and impunity.

The Executive Director urges the Arusha SPLM reunification stakeholders to speed up the implementation process to usher peace and stability to desperate South Sudanese.
