Yei River County Administration has issued a directive preventing cattle keepers from entering its territory.

Commissioner Cosmas Bidali says the directive is a conflict prevention mechanism between crop farming communities and cattle herders, Radio Easter reported.

He explains that the local community does not want cattle crowding in the area especially in the rainy season.

Commissioner Bidali warns that any cattle invasion in Yei is a danger of potential conflict in the county.

Yei River County Administration has detected seven thousand heads of cattle in its Tore Payam fleeing conflict from Maridi County of Western Equatoria State.
