Kajo-Keji asks presidency to expedite South Sudan-Uganda border demarcation

Kajo-Keji County Administration in Central Equatoria State has reignited appeal to President Salva Kiir Mayardit to speed up official demarcation of the disputed border areas between Kajo-Keji County and Moyo District to end border wrangles.
 
Commissioner Henry Kala Sabuni while welcoming the launch of 400 million US Dollars cement mining project on Thursday appealed to the national government to demarcate South Sudan-Uganda border to put to rest conflict among local bordering communities.
 
Office of the President Chief Administrator Mayen Wol Jong says ‘it is not a simple decision to give land for investment’, cautioning that refusing investors in a place means denying development.
 
Central Equatoria State Deputy Governor Manase Lomole Waya reminds Kajo-Keji citizens to focus on peace, improving good relationship among themselves and neighbours, urging them to forget 2014 Kajo-Keji-Moyo border fracas that left scores dead and lots of property lost.
 
In 1997 at Kajo-Keji County’s Kigwo Boma of Kangapo I Payam limestone mineral for making cement was discovered since then over 20 mining companies visited the site to assess its quality and quantity, but only on June 18, 2015 Central Equatoria Mining and Cement or CEMAC LTD starts off the project.
 
Countrywide there are limestone minerals discovered in Kapoeta, Eastern Equatoria State, Raja, Western Bahr El Ghazal and Mundri West of Western Equatoria State.
