Community Empowerment Progress Organization or CEPO in Wau is demanding the Wau Municipal Administration to stop issuing authorization letters for individuals to buy fuel in containers.

CEPO State Coordinator Stephen Robo Musa criticizes the mayoral order provision for authorizing container fueling as weak, encouraging black market deals to exploit poor ordinary consumers, Voice of Hope reported.

He recommends that municipal authorities should deploy personnel at the petrol stations to ensure fueling vehicles strictly.

Wau Municipal Council last week issued a local order Number 8 fixing prices of fuel and devising methods to regulate dealers from creating unnecessary shortages at existing 11 petrol stations in the state.
