Western Equatoria Government arrests 2 suspects in connection to Maridi chaos

Western Equatoria State government has arrested two suspects linked to Maridi County violence that claimed at least ten lives.
 
Radio Anisa reports that the first suspect identified was hiding raided cattle in his camp while the second one pretended to be government security personnel as he instigates other cattle herders to be courageous.
 
State Deputy Governor Sapana Abui held several meetings in Maridi apportioning blames to cattle herders for taking law into their hands by indiscriminate killing of civilians.
 
Maridi County Commissioner Thomas Wilson together with citizens proposes immediate departure of cattle herders, terming them troublemakers.
 
The Army Commander Major General Johnson Juma says four army officers and one civilian were severely wounded, attending medical care in Maridi Civil Hospital.
 
He confirmed that many huts were burnt into ashes and ten lives lost including that of a teacher, a nurse and a student.
