The Mother of Mercy Hospital in Heiban County of Nuba Mountains celebrates International Nursing Day on Saturday.
The celebration with reflection of the motto ‘Together We Save Lives’ starts with mass at 10:30 in the morning at Saints Peter and Paul Parish followed by procession, Voice of Peace reported.
Main Celebrant Daniel Tutu says nurses are the heroes and heroines of the Nuba Mountains.
He observes that despite Antonov bombing and other challenges facing nurses, they have been able to cope with the situation.
Father Tutu calls on patients’ attendants to respect nurses for the great services they render to communities.
