Sons and daughters of Western Equatoria stranded at Wau Catholic University seek financial support from their state government to enable them sit for the exams.
Student representative Alex Cosmos laments that the tuition fee increased, making it difficult for some poor students to finish the year successfully, Radio Anisa reported.
He says the University administration ruled that no student sit for exams until all requirements are fulfilled.
State Legislative Assembly Education Committee Chairperson Elinama Joseph on Wednesday presented a list of 41 stranded students to Education Minister Pia Philp Michael for consideration.
The minister replied that the state government cannot afford to support the students because of the current economic situation in the country, advising the students to do anything possible that can help them cater for the university requirements.
