National Ministry of Agriculture in partnership with its Electricity, Dams and Water Resources counterpart on Thursday launched the comprehensive agriculture master plan in Juba.
Minister Beda Machar Deng Machar reveals that the plan targets Irrigation Development Master expected to last for the next 25 years to eradicate hunger in the country, Radio Bakhita reported.
Northern Bahr El Ghazal State Agriculture and Forestry Minister Lual Dau Marach hails President Salva Kiir’s initiative to fight hunger, assuring citizens that the country would soon have enough locally produced food.
Minister Dau relates the comprehensive agriculture master plan with mechanization that requires construction of roads to ease transportation of agricultural products to markets.
The Minister reveals that the committee is expected to take the two documents to the President to demand more funds to boost agriculture in the nation.
