Parliament to deliberate National Bureau of Statistics Bill next week

The National Legislative Assembly is expected to deliberate the National Bureau of Statistics Bill, 2015 after a week as from May 26.
 
Speaker Manasseh Magok Rundial on Tuesday referred the Bill for scrutiny to joint Assembly Specialized Committees of Education, Research, Science, Technology, Legislation and Justice for presentation and deliberation in a week’s time.
 
Justice Minister Paulino Wanawila Unango’s presentation to the Augus House highlights some content details of the Bill as provision of dense population census, collection of statistics, data, informational recording security, funding sources, audit and confidentiality in the system.
 
He also tabled Standard Gauge Railway Protocol 2014 providing joint cooperation development of railway line running among neighbouring countries of Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan.
 
The protocol is also expected to be presented to the Augus House for deliberation in a week’s time as from May 26.
