Speaking during the Radio Good News’ ‘Morning Basket Program’, different callers complained of high prices in different areas.

A caller James Cueibet from Cueibet County says a 25-kilo bag of flour is sold at 200 Pounds while another caller Gabriel Chut from Rumbek East County laments that one mandasi now cost five Pounds.

Another caller from Rumbek East who identified himself only as Majak says a cup of sugar and salt is sold at six Pounds.

Last week Lakes’ government introduced the selling of maize flour and sugar at subsidized prices but the population is complaining about large queues at the selling store.
