Lakes government spokesperson on Friday confirms the killing of Rumbek North Commissioner Abraham Maloth by unknown assailants.
Dhiu Waltakping told the press that the late Commissioner was ambushed while on a way to one of the cattle camps, Radio Good News reported.
He says the Commissioner was accompanied by Boarder Adviser Poth Domic whose where about is unknown.
The Spokesperson disputed rumours that the late Commissioner and Boarder Advisor were on frontline before the killing, terming the rumours as unfounded.
Minister Waltakping suspects the late Commissioner to have been killed by either by Opposition forces or cattle raiders.
It was assumed that the Commissioner might have been killed alongside several chiefs who accompanied him to the cattle camp.
