Thieves broke into St Mary’s Mary Help of Christian Catholic Cathedral in Wau on Monday night but did not get anything worth stealing.
The Parish Priest Fr Natali Emilio Korcho discloses to Radio Voice of Hope that the thief broke into the church through the northern door and the clergy dressing room.
He adds that they discovered during Morning Prayers that a person was believed to have jumped over the church’s fence and broke the door.
Fr Natali points out that a teenager was found in the Church and was taken to police custody for investigation.
The young person said he went to the church to spend the night and church administration said the suspect would be released.
