National Alliance says South Sudan in economic crisis rises by 400%

The National Political Alliance on Tuesday says the country is under grip of severe economic crisis with more than four hundred percent increase in market prices where the people especially the lower income earners are the victims.
 
United Democratic Party Deputy Chairperson Martin Aligo blames the government of not building strategic food reserve and reserving funds in the Central Bank, Radio Bakhita reported.
 
He says the ongoing war is making setting priorities hard for the government but its ready planned to spend 129 million Pounds on only Independence Day celebration.
 
Mr Aligo suggests that the government should take tough decisions to set the economy to productive and export oriented way.
 
The National Alliance is a combination of 18 political parties with an aim of building a democratic state.
