Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches on Sunday conducted a fundraising in the Holy Trinity Centre in Yambio, Western Equatoria State.
Pastor Samuel Timoteo says the fundraising that aims at building a permanent Church structure was under the theme: ‘Give to the Lord without demand in return”, Radio Anisa reported.
The money collected on Sunday amounted to 3,014 South Sudanese Pounds, some people pledged to give 3,790 Pounds and other undisclosed promises would be contributed later.
Pastor Timoteo says nine iron sheets and three kilogram of nails were donated and other Christians voluntarily offered themselves to do roofing.
He appreciated Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches Christians for generous contributions to God’s work.
Christ the King Parish from Zande and Arabic congregations assembled on Sunday at Holy Trinity Centre for the fundraising for the first time.
