Educationists call for collective efforts to improve performance

Educationists in Yei River County and the Municipality following release of 2014/2015 South Sudan Secondary Certificate exams results on Monday, call on teachers, parents and children to double efforts to realize another better performance next year.
 
The results showed Nehemiah Secondary School leading the county with 85.3 percent while Yei Girls Boarding Secondary School is the best in girls’ performance, Radio Easter reported.
 
Excel International Academy that took the third position at the county level, dominated the performance in the best ten with seven students.
 
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Acting County Secondary Education Inspector Dolobi Jacob attributes some failures to recurring school transfer and enrolment of failed students.
 
County Girl Child Education Supervisor Susan Manowa Philip encourages girls to join boarding school for better performance, urging parents not to over load female students with domestic work.
 
County Pre-Schools Inspector Agnes Roba Bobole urges parents to continue supporting their girls to study despite failure.
 
The education authority is recommending the failed students to repeat to get better results.
