Yambio County Commissioner calls for religious coexistence among all church denominations to preach peace to their communities.
Speaking during the peace conference Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese Peace and Justice Commission organized on Friday, Hussein Enoka Bakumba acknowledged efforts churches played during the liberation struggle, Radio Anisa reported.
He recommends that at every church service, preachers should talk about the importance of peace, unity and cleanness to the faithful.
Commissioner Enoka emphasizes that keeping Yambio clean should begin with the minds and hearts of the people and that surroundings of every compound must be neat.
He tells the public that peace building should be a collective and continued process from one generation to the other.
The Commissioner advises Yambio taskforce to put into action the resolutions of the peace conference to address conflicts in Western Equatoria State.
