President Kiir forms Broadcasting and Media Authority Boards of Directors

The President of the Republic on Wednesday issued two orders one for the formation of Broadcasting Corporation Board of Directors and the second for the Media Authority.
 
Salva Kiir Mayardit in his order appointed William Hai Zaza head of Communication in Juba University as chairperson deputized by the former advisor to the Ministry of Information Jonathan Mayen.
 
Brigadier Ramadan Chadar, Victoria Anib, Agatha David, Michael Thon Mangok, Teresa Ciricio, Chat Paul Nul and Derik Uya Alfred are appointed members of the Board.
 
The president’s second order put Kiir Chol Deng Chairperson of the Media Authority Board of Directors and Joseph Abu as his vice with the membership of Awak Bior, Atong Majak Kur, Manyang Deng Dau, Teresa Modesto, Joseph Iyaha Ibui and first lieutenant Majok Ayii Muorwel.
 
President Kiir issued a decree relieving George Garang from the post of undersecretary in the ministry of Information, reappointed him Advisor and appointed Justin Alear De Mayen undersecretary in the same ministry.
 
He also earlier decreed the dismissal of the former Director-General for South Sudan Television and Radio Khamis Abdel-Latif Chawul.
 
The President relieved Ministry of Trade and Investment undersecretary Simon Nyang Anei and replaced him with the former Deputy Chairperson of the Human Rights Commission Biel Jok Thick.
 
The orders and decrees are effective from Wednesday.
