A team of Global Network of Women Peace Builders equip stakeholders including men and women in Yei on United Nations Security Council Resolutions 1325 and 1820.
Speaking to Radio Easter on Monday, the Network’s International Coordinator Mavic Cabrera Baueza says the training aims at developing concrete strategies for the integration of the national action plan in the local development process.
Ms Mavic says getting opinions of citizens encourages them to own the principles of the Resolutions to prevent gender-based violence and conflict.
The two-day training attracted participants from local government offices, women organizations, churches and civil society organizations.
