The security situation continues to deteriorate in Unity and Upper Nile States, forcing humanitarian actors to reduce their field presence in several areas.

In a statement CRN received on Saturday United Nations Children Fund or UNICEF scaled up Health, WASH, Child Protection and Gender-Based Violence Prevention Services in response to influxes into Bentiu and Malakal protection of civilian’s sites.

The March round of food security and nutrition monitoring system assessment showed Global Acute Malnutrition rates above the 15 percent emergency threshold in the three conflict-affected states, Warrap and Northern Bahr El Ghazal.

It laments that the Global Acute Malnutrition rates ranging from 15.4 percent in Upper Nile to 21.1 percent in Warrap State is worrying in advance of the lean season from May to July.
