Yei Catholic Diocese Secretary-General is urging Christians to demonstrate practical faith that yields positive impacts as expected by Jesus in his teaching.

Fr Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit in his Sunday homily at Christ the King Cathedral, says being baptized, confirmed or moving regularly for Sunday services is not enough, but rather loving one another, sharing each other burdens, repenting from sins and desist from repeating them, Radio Easter reported.

He calls on leaders and citizens to come close to God by ending war minds, corruption and tribal acts that keep the nation in gloom.

Fr Lodongo advises citizens to always stand for the truth through using the Bible’s teachings to portray their faith in God amidst temptations.

He adds that only true prayers would overcome evil, citing the conversion of Saint Paul whose positive preaching about the risen Christ confronted the authority to plot against him.
