Tonj South County Commissioner of Warrap State on Monday discloses said Governor and Finance minister’s plan to buy sorghum and bring it to communities.
William Wol Mayom says that around 40 vehicles left Juba for Warrap and they are expected to reach Tonj in two days time, Radio Don Bosco reported.
He adds that the issue of starvation would be resolved, mentioning that the government is working hard to ensure that the hunger is brought under control.
Commissioner Wol denies rumours that some people started starving in Tonj, clarifying that the two young men were killed by their enemy but not hunger.
He adds that the looming hunger did not yet kill even a dog in the area.
