Child Protection Officer in Yei River County Gender Child and Social Welfare Department recommends employment of security personnel in lodges to arrest underage girls wanting to work, but end up being misused.

Victoria Michael tells lodges’ managers on Friday to immediately report through the government security organs for the authority to act, Radio Easter reported.

Municipal Gender Inspector Apayi Zabibu also suggests arrest of children in streets and immediate family tracing so that they are reunited with their parents.

The officials call on parents to take good care of children by meeting their basic needs including education, health, food and shelter to prevent them from going to streets.
