Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocesan veteran nun urges people to pray and serve others.

Sister Bianca Bii Musungu says she was taking care of and praying with orphans under their patron Saint Josephine Bakhita at St Mary Parish since 1994, Radio Anisa reported.

The 74-year-old sister encourages other women to join her in serving God by taking care of orphans.

Sr Musungu explains that the Orphanage Centre was transferred from Nzara parish to Ave Maria Ngboko Parish in 2002 with 60 orphans and currently housed in Tombura Parish with 100 children: 70 girls and 30 boys.

The veteran nun advises girls and boys to embrace education for a successful future to render holistic services to the entire people of God.

She says Caritas German is the only international NGO and the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio supporting the orphans.

The veteran Catholic nun was born in 1941 in Gangura Payam of Yambio County and join Catholic missionary school in 1955 in Mupoi Parish.

Sr Musungu is the first Zande woman to be consecrated a Religious Sister and Mother Superior in Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese for the Congregation of the Blessed Virgin Mary founded by Bishop Emeritus Joseph Gasi who died in 2014 in Yambio.
