Financial constraint paralyses National Legislature

The National Legislature while opening for the first 2015 session cries out financial limitations as a cause of business paralysis.
 
Speaker Manasseh Magok Rundial read eight-page speech dominated with revelation of financial disability in the Augus House, decrying continuous lack of funds for office structure construction, transport facility for foreign and internal trips and specialized committees’ allowances.
 
Speaker Magok says it is unfortunate that the executive, independent commissions and institutions do not cooperate with the legislature for transparency and accountability of public funds, vowing to take action to uphold the constitution.
 
The Speaker accuses the Judiciary of South Sudan of failing to respect and implement Public Management & Accountability Act 2011 which requires it to account to the Assembly Public Accounts Committee.
