Yei authorities vowed to punish players who fought referees in a semi-final match between Rash and St Joseph Secondary School.
Yei Mayor Santo Paul Lasuba in his closing remarks at the finals on Saturday says the authority would suspend those behind the fighting for one year, Radio Easter reported.
This followed Sports Organizing Committee’s report early this week that three of the beaten referees are still taking their medication in the hospital.
County Education Director Philip Taban Issa urges fans and players to observe sports rules and regulations, warning them against fighting referees.
He calls on players to welcome results and desist from violence.
The Director encourages students to develop their talents to help the nation in international competitions.
