The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba calls on the national government and SPLM in opposition to negotiate to find an amicable solution to end the suffering of their citizens.

Bishop Santo Loku Pio in his homily on Sunday at St Theresa’s Cathedral Kator, appeals to political leaders to discuss how to implement the rule of law and respect rights of all South Sudanese, Radio Bakhita reported.

He criticizes military generals taking care of cattle in national uniform instead of protecting South Sudanese and their belongings.

Bishop Loku cautions the SPLM against division, calling on the party to reunify itself for the development of the nation.

The Catholic prelate prays that God changes hearts of the South Sudan political leaders and makes them all instruments of love to become witnesses of Christ’s resurrection.
