Yambio Local Football Association on Tuesday suspended Nile City Football Club for three years from all activities in the Western Equatoria state due to indiscipline.
The Association General-Secretary Joseph Arkangelo Apai accuses the club members and fans of being behind the fight between Nile City and Villa United players and fans at Gbudue Stadium on Sunday, Radio Anisa reported.
The fight took place after Villa Football Club won South Sudan cup beating Nile City 3-2 in penalty shootout after 1-1 draw in the 90 minutes’ equal struggle.
The Secretary-General says Nile City head coach and other two players were given two years on top of the three-year suspension period.
Radio Anisa did not yet get Nile City managerial team comment on the ban.
