The six-day peace building training on the role of media in peace building under the theme: ‘Becoming a peace builder’ organized by Radio Anisa administration concluded on Tuesday.
Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese facilitator Elizabeth Kanine Kimau says journalists during the course learnt that peace must begin with them, Radio Anisa reported.
She points out that effective media must have peace building programs and knowledge about conflict because it can play a very critical role in building the culture of peace in societies.
Ms Kanine urges media personnel to begin peace building in a small way in families and communities.
She appreciates Anisa journalists for being willing to learn by asking a lot of questions to know more about peace issues and how they could be effective.
