Tombura County Commissioner in Western Equatoria on Monday laid Yubu Bridge foundation stone.
Babiro Charles Gbamisi instructs the engineering team to dismantle the old and construct a strong and big bridge that would allow a big volume of water to pass mostly during the rainy season, Radio Anisa reported.
He promises to cooperate with the County Health department for first aid to be available at the scene.
County local engineers earlier complained of inadequate first aid for injuries or unfortunate circumstances.
All heads of departments in the county attended the occasion.
Yubu Bridge which was constructed since 1970s is a sensitive bridge connecting Western Equatoria to Greater Bahr El Gazal States.
