The National Legislature compromising of National Legislative Assembly and the Council of States is set to resume on April 20 after three-month recess since December 2014.
Assembly Information Committee Chairperson Thomas Wani Kundu told CRN on Monday that President Salva Kiir Mayardit is expected to grace the official session opening with speech on policy statement.
He adds that the legislature is expected to deliberate on the president’s policy statement for adoption before tabling other matters of concern.
The 2015 parliamentary session resumption comes at a critical economic stake in South Sudan history when analysts are calling on the government to declare bankruptcy or switch to quick alternative economic recovery.
