Radio Anisa journalists and administrative staff on Thursday started a six-day training on peace building in Yambio.
Radio Director Fr Ignatius Mborihenga said the training was to build the capacity of all journalists on how they can be part of building peace in the community, Radio Anisa reported.
He thanked the journalists for turning up for the course he describes as ‘important’ to enable them deliver a better service to the people.
Facilitator Elizabeth Kimau says the workshop is paramount for media personnel because it can build and destroy people depending on how they handle conflict.
Participants were active and thankful for the training, hoping for more in the future.
Justice and Peace Commission of the Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese facilitated the six-day workshop.
