Africa Education Trust or AET on Thursday started two-day gender responsive pedagogy training for four county education managers and twenty Payam supervisors of Yambio and Nzara Counties.

AET Yambio Branch Manager Toroyo John Baptist says the training focuses on access to education, enrolment, retention and completion for learners, Radio Anisa reported.

State Education Minister Pia Phillip Michael says gender is a cross-cutting theme for the government and communities to handle child rights and girl child education.

He challenges reluctant education managers and supervisors to do their jobs well or face dismissal.

Western Equatoria is expected to launch back to school campaign in collaboration with UNICEF soon.
