Two appointed lawmakers take oath in Torit Parliament

Eastern Equatoria State Assembly in its 10 sitting on Wednesday chaired by the Speaker Tobiolo Alberio Oromo witnessed the swearing-in of two Members recently appointed to fill vacant positions.
 
Justice Andrew Joshua Lad of the High Court presided over the swearing-in of Boniface Lochebe Losike and Barnaba Loojo Kodet in a parked Assembly Hall, Radio Emmanuel reported.
 
Deputy Assembly Clerk Augustine Ongee read Governor Louis Lobong Lojore’s decree for the appointment two MPs that the two MPs were appointed on March 30 to fill the vacant seats left by two former members of the Argus House.
 
MPs Lochebe who represents Constituency 7, Kapoeta North, replaces Charles Lokonoi who is now County Commissioner while Kodet represents constituency 16, Kapoeta South, replacing Martin Lopir Lotubae, also a County commissioner.
 
Entrance of the two lawmakers brings the total number of members of the state Assembly appointed by the governor through gubernatorial decrees to six.
