At least five people including an area headman and a woman were sentenced into six months imprisonment for selling institutions’ land to individuals at Mission area in Yei town block.
Yei Town Paramount Chief Peter Said Morjan urges the land squatters to leave the area before forced demolition, Radio Easter reported.
The victims were judged to pay back an amount of 44,910 South Sudanese Pounds to be refunded to the buyers.
The sold piece of land belongs to ECS Zamba Church, Marata Health Centre, Yei Two Basic School and Yei Day Secondary School.
