Western Bahr El-Ghazal Trade and Cooperatives Minister plans to avert rising commodity prices especially food through formation of cooperatives at all state ministries.
James Ernest Makuei calls on all state ministries to register and form cooperative societies, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
He adds that the Trade and Cooperatives Ministry will stock food items through the cooperatives to enable citizens buy at reduced prices.
The Minister says there is need for farmers to set up agricultural cooperatives at the private sector level.
Minister Ernest urges traders to be honest in setting commodity prices to avoid exploiting customers’ ignorance.
