Western Bahr el Ghazal State Education, Science and Technology Ministry announces ending Sudan Syllabus locally known as Comboni College of Khartoum or CCK lessons in secondary schools.
Education Minister Adil Athanasius Surur told private and government school head teachers that students sitting for Sudan Senior Three School Certificate exams in April mark the end of the foreign syllabus, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
He discloses that the Education Ministry has received outline topics on South Sudan Curriculum for all secondary schools to adopt as text books get underway for the implementation.
Minister Athanasius encourages South Sudanese to love their own education system as a sign of patriotism to forget Sudan.
El Muktar Secondary School Head Teacher Hussein Brema anticipates English Language as a challenge in turning to South Sudan Syllabus for the first time.
He still appeals to the Education Minister to consider setting exams in both Arabic and English for the first batch of candidates.
