Yei River County community extension workers are educating farmers through demonstration farms to realize quality production and productivity.

County Agriculture Assistant Commissioner Edmond Taban Gogo on Wednesday told Radio Easter that 22 extension workers are imparting to farmers services delivery skills in Bomas, Radio Easter reported.

He urges farmers to continue preparing land, cultivate throughout the season and stop waiting for the rain in which may be late for them to plant crops.

In another development, Yei River County and Municipality Forest Assistant Commissioner David Taban Silas encourages citizens to leave ten percent of their trees as they prepare lands for agriculture.

He accused some politicians of contributing to clear mango trees along Yei streets, recalling that the environment was very green before.
