Torit Catholic Diocesan led a procession of Christians marking Palm Sunday on a donkey, amazing traffic and business people.
Fr Anthony Ubeo while holding palm leaves was joined by hundreds of faithful of Arabic mass, including traders, customers and road users in half an hour journey to Our Lady of Assumption Church, Radio Emmanuel reported.
The congregation commented that it was the first of its kind for a priest to go on a donkey in Torit on Palm Sundays.
The Parish Priest of Our Lady of Assumption Church Fr Noel Ogwuegu was impressed by the initiative.
The riding on a donkey is emulation of the journey of Jesus to Jerusalem.
