South Sudan students in Cuba call for government support

South Sudan Students Union in Cuba called on the government to support them with their educational needs.
 
In a statement Radio Bakhita obtained, the Union chairperson Jouvanni Akuin Wani cited absence of South Sudanese embassy in Cuba also makes it hard to extend their short comings to the government.
 
He revealed that the Cuban government pays them five US Dollars allowances and that the money is insufficient to help them buy all their school items.
 
The chairperson added that the first and second year students struggled to reach the government for assistance but lack of communication became an obstacle.
 
He explained that monthly allowances, activation of the South Sudan’s code in Cuba are among difficulties they urged the government to resolve.
