Lainya Football Association in Central Equatoria State suspended two players and an official of Kenyi Mountain Boys’ Football Club after fighting a referee in the ongoing South Sudan cup tournament.

In a copy extended to Radio Easter on Tuesday, the Club Secretary Moses Malish including two players: Philip Taban and Pitia Samson fought the referee over a match against Flying Eagle after they were eliminated from the tournament.

The Association described the misbehaviors of the players and official ‘unsporting’, adding that they serve a suspension of more than two years as stipulated in South Sudan Football rules and regulations.

The statement said the players and the official would not participate in any sport related activity in the county until they complete their suspension period.

It warned players and team managers against facing similar actions if they show indiscipline cases.
