Bazungua Payam Youth in Yambio County of Western Equatoria State on Monday night rescued a Boda-boda rider from two men allegedly attempting to kill the boy and loot his motorbike.
Radio Anisa has learned that the two men asked the rider to take them to Bazumburu area at around 4:00 PM, but on the way attempted to hang the rider’s neck with a rope.
The youth of the area heard the screaming and rushed to help the boy, they caught the two criminals who are suspected to be natives, beat them badly and cut off each one’s ear.
The case was presented to the county police headquarters in Yambio on Tuesday morning and the thieves were taken to Yambio hospital to treat their wounds.
The police told Anisa Radio that concrete report may be released after completing the investigation.
Last year another Boda-boda boy and his motorbike went missing for life in Yambio County.
