South Sudan Football Association Vice President while launching seven-day training of coaches in Torit town of Eastern Equatoria State Tuesday urged the government to support sports’ activities to realize benefits.

Andrea Abdalla Dimbiti observes that sport activities such as football will not yield benefits without government support, Radio Emmanuel reported.

He commends UNICEF for funding the sports training.

Torit County Commissioner German Charles Ojok enumerates several benefits of sports in the country including unity.

He argues that communities conflict with one another due to lack of activities like sports that bring them together to share happy moments.

The Commissioner hails development role sports play through support from UNICEF.

He encourages football coaches to train players to excel to the world class and extend support to the country.

The seven-day training on coaching, refereeing and managing skills attracted 50 participants from eight counties of Eastern Equatoria State.
